The Maputo Development Corridor:
The governments of South Africa and Mozambique have promoted the revival of the Maputo Corridor as part of a greater Spatial Development Initiative with bilateral policies and substantial public and private sector investments, designed to stimulate sustainable growth and development in the region.
The Maputo Development Corridor is a true transportation corridor, comprising road, rail, border posts, port and terminal facilities running through the most highly industrialised and productive regions of Southern Africa, connecting the landlocked regions of Kingdom of eSwatini and South Africa to Mozambique and The Port of Maputo.
Kwena HC Limitada are taking advantage of their position in Mozambique by partnering with a local transport company, and have been awarded a new contract to provide 100 new drivers for the company’s fleet which will service a number of infrastructural operations relating to the Maputo Corridor Initiative.
