Our client, a global engineering and construction company, is seeking an experienced Stores Supervisor to join a large-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) project in the Northern Cape. This is a project-based contract until November 2027.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management, Warehousing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Stores/Warehouse environment, preferably within construction, EPC, mining, power, energy or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience supervising site stores operations and personnel.
• Experience managing the receipt and storage of large-scale project equipment and materials.
• Utility-scale BESS, solar PV or renewable energy project experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong inventory, stock control and material management experience.
• Experience working with ERP/stores management systems.
• Good understanding of HSE requirements in a construction/site environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervise and coordinate all site stores activities and stores personnel.
• Manage the receipt, inspection, offloading, storage and issuing of materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate stock records, inventory registers and material documentation.
• Coordinate the receipt and storage of Owner-supplied equipment, including BESS equipment, PV modules, inverters and associated materials.
• Ensure materials are correctly identified, stored, protected and readily available for construction activities.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate material requirements with Procurement and Construction teams.
• Manage stock movements, issues, returns, transfers and reconciliations.
• Ensure stores activities comply with project procedures, quality requirements and HSE standards.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, site management and other project stakeholders.
• Support audits, stock counts and reporting requirements.
• Supervise Storemen and ensure effective day-to-day allocation of stores activities.
