Our client, a global engineering and construction company is currently seeking to appoint two Storemen to join a large-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) project in Postmasburg, Northern Cape. This is a project-based contract until November 2027.

Minimum Requirements

· Grade 12 / Matric.

· Minimum 2+ years of experience working as a Storeman, Stores Clerk, Warehouse Assistant or similar.

· Experience working on large construction, mining, power, renewable energy or EPC projects.

· Experience with inventory control, receiving, issuing and stocktaking.

· SAP or other ERP system experience – preferred.

· Forklift / material-handling equipment certification – preferred.

· Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook).

· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

· Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements (OHSA).

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

· Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials, equipment, tools and spares.

· Ensure correct binning, labelling and storage of materials.

· Issue materials and equipment in accordance with project procedures.

· Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels.

· Conduct stock counts, cycle counts and reconciliations.

· Monitor stock movements and report discrepancies, shortages or damaged items.

· Maintain accurate receiving and issuing documentation.

· Assist with the control of tools, PPE, consumables, equipment and spares.

· Maintain good housekeeping and organisation within the stores area.

· Operate material-handling equipment when required.

· Comply with all project HSE requirements and procedures.

· Support the Stores Supervisor with general stores and materials-management activities.
