My client in the medical and safety technology industry is looking for an Accounts Manager to join their team in Johannesburg.

The successful applicant will be responsible for generating orders for the geographical area assigned through the management of customers and resources offering complete portfolio/solutions/services in the Care Areas (covering Gauteng central, Soweto, West Rand, and some of the North West (Rustenburg / Mafikeng)).

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Relationship Building/Maintenance

•    Active development of customer relationships

•    Develop long-term partnership with the customer defined by the company rules in a defined geographic area

•    Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other relevant bodies to ensure that the allocated area(s) maximum sales potential is realized

Strategic Sales

•    Maximize the sales development through a business plan and implement sales strategies that enable your allocated area(s) to achieve its objective together with the application specialist and modality manager.

•    Develop together with the customer the ideal device / solution portfolio for customer needs

•    Main interface regarding devices / solutions, utilizing all necessary company resources

•    Focus on sales of the company portfolio: devices and solutions (excluding after sales business)

•    Responsibility for sales budget (net revenue, margin), prepares sales forecast for their area

•    Participates on road shows and exhibitions

•    Negotiate and close deals

•    Generate and manage the sales process

Market Analysis

•    Monitor market, competitor and customer development – inform modality managers about market trends

•    Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure that the company maintains and develops its competitive position

Administration

•    Continually updates CRM, market / product analysis with product specialist

•    Completion and maintenance of Call Reports Submission of Weekly Planners to the Sales Manager

•    All quote requests and brochures to be sent to the relevant person 24hrs from time of request.

•    Assists in receivables management

Compliance

•    Ensure compliance with the Principles of Business and Conduct in the Group and local laws and regulations

•    Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health laws and other applicable regulations

Communications and Brand

•    Support Brand recognition at the branch level

•    Responsible for Internal Communications within the workshop

•    Relationship-Management with Distributors, Customers and all employees within the Branch

•    Arrange hand-over of devices / solutions and application training (optional, dependent on regulatory requirements)

Regulatory Affairs and Quality

•    Implement the processes and actions to obtain and maintain all relevant certifications, e.g.: ISO, SANAS, in close collaboration with the Service Manager and the local Quality Manager

•    Ensure compliance with corporate quality and environmental policies

•    Prepare, implement and monitor effective processes that provide the evidence of compliance with relevant directives, standards, technical, legal, industry or trade requirements

•    Ensure the effective day-to-day quality management of processes within, business, regulatory, testing, customer relations, service and logistic departments

REQUIREMENTS:

•    Matric

•    Certificate or Diploma from Tertiary institution

•    Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Sales Environment

•    Minimum 2 years’ experience in the medical field

•    Valid Driver’s Licence

•    Own Transport

•    Strong leadership personality

•    Good Interpersonal skills

•    Ability to work independently

•    Must be proactive

•    Ability to train/impart knowledge

•    Adaptability

•    Must be responsible for own decisions and / or actions

•    Must be a Strategic thinker

•    Ability to work as part of a team

•    Excellent Negotiation capabilities

•    Must be Reliable

•    Must be fluent in English (verbal and written)

•    MS – Office – Basic

•    Ability to work outside of normal working hours as required from time to time
